With a stripped-back style taking cues from early jungle, techno and breakbeat, Particle (aka Alex Smith) has established himself as one of drum & bass music’s most intriguing producers.

After more than half a decade starting fires for not just Critical, but powerhouse labels such as Shogun Audio, Hospital Records and Drum&BassArena, alongside remixes for Enei, Hybrid Minds and Skeptical, Particle has continued to refine his unique take on the D&B template, most recently in the form of his debut album ‘Pyro’, remix of Sustance and Flowdan’s ‘Ten Ton, and single ‘What If’ with Duskee.

Beyond his work as a producer, Particle’s name has found space on the iconic stages of The Warehouse Project, Printworks and Boomtown, while selling out club events from New Zealand to Bristol.
